Converse Shoes was founded in 1908 and worn by legendary sports figures for over a century. The story of Converse Shoes starts in 1921 when basketball player Chuck Taylor walked into the Chicago sales office of Converse complaining of sore feet. He succeeded in persuading the Converse executives to design a shoe especially for basketball players. Thus Converse came into being. Converse used Taylor's signature to its five-pronged star shoe in 1932. Converse was the official basketball shoe of Olympics for 32 years.
