Crocs Shoes was founded by George B. Boedecker to manufacture and distribute a plastic clog design Crocs Shoes had acquired from Foam Creations, a Canadian company. The first Crocs Shoes model was produced in 2002 was seen the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show and called Crocs Shoes Beach. In 2004 Crocs Shoes bought Foam Creations and its manufacturing operations. Thus Crocs Shoes it secured exclusive proprietary rights to use Croslite, a foam resin. Croslite is responsible for making Crocs shoes ideal for casual, professional and recreational wear such as boating, hiking, hospitality and gardening footwear.
